The JSX Pilot Pathway Program is your exciting opportunity to fast-track your career towards becoming a First Officer at JSX Airlines. US Aviation Academy is a select flight training academy in partnership with JSX Airlines that offers a faster, streamlined pathway for flight instructors to transition into First Officer positions at JSX.
With multiple crew base locations, including Dallas, TX (DFW), Burbank, CA (BUR), Las Vegas, NV (LAS), and Orlando, FL (MCO), our program will give you an incredible opportunity to take charge of your career.
JSX Pilot Requirements
At US Aviation Academy, aspiring pilots with training, tools, and support can soar to new heights as a JSX Pilot. The basic minimum requirements for the JSX Pilot Pathway Program are:- 600 total flight hours (for United Aviate participants only)*
- 800 hours minimum flight hour requirement (without United Aviate)
- 50 hours multi-engine and 75 hours instrument actual/simulated
- Must meet FAA First Class Medical Certificate requirements
- Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Possess a valid passport
- Have the legal right to work in the US

Interviewing is a required step in the pilot program selection process. The process can be a phone interview, questionnaire, or other options. Expect technical questions about flight knowledge, HR interviews, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations. After completing the JSX Pilot Program you will earn a Commercial and Flight Instructor Certificate.Scholarship Opportunities and Financial Aid
The JSX Pilot Program understands new pilots may have financial concerns on how to pay for training. At US Aviation Academy we offer various ways to help make your dream a reality through scholarships, financial aid, and veteran benefits such as the GI Bill®. The AOPA Flight Training Scholarship is awarded to 10 qualified flight students. Nine receive $9,000 and one top candidate will receive $12,000 in scholarship money.
